Why ASK Scandinavia Exists

Combining Scandinavian design with premium and responsibly made European materials, ASK Scandinavia’s collections are designed to last, both in quality and style, and to remain your favourites while times and lives change.

Acting With Environmental & Social Responsibility

The purpose and promise of ASK Scandinavia is to be a conscious brand consumers can trust, a brand that acts with environmental and social responsibility whilst making sure makers are treated with dignity and paid fair wages. Their goal is to minimise production waste surplus by reusing left over material in new collections. Their products are at least 50% recycled and/or upcycled, and they aim to have 100% recycled/upcycled products by 2022. Bags will also be 100% vegan once they have used up the current leather tags.

Sustainability Credentials

Lean and local supply chain.

Any manufacturing work is fairly and timely paid.

Online orders are shipped in 100% biodegradable bags.

Waste materials are used to create new value – such as Econyl (infinitely recyclable and made from 100% regenerated nylon fibre made from fishnets collected from the sea and other nylon waste).

Upcycled fabric is used to reduce textile waste, water usage and carbon footprint.

A Word On Sustainability Goals

“Our goal is to create long-lasting minimalist clean essentials for people in all stages of life so that she can keep on wearing her values. We do this by designing multi-purpose bags.

We believe that sustainability, just like life, is a journey that can keep improving. We aim to start using Econyl zippers, recycled care labels, recycled sewing threads and moving our quilting process even closer to the fabric mill in order to save even more on transportation emissions for our next productions.”
