100% organic and always ethically sourced. Not only is London Grade Coffee truly delicious, but it does not come at the expense of our planet and its biodiversity.
Why London Grade Coffee Exists
London Grade Coffee was created to ensure that people never have to drink bad coffee again, whilst also tackling some of the big issues the industry presents. Their coffee, which grows high in the Nilgiri Hills in India, under a double canopy of silver oak, rosewood, jackfruit, mahogany and avocado trees, is not only delicious, but does not come at the expense of our planet and its biodiversity.
Unlike the majority of coffee plantations, the 30 acres of hillside remains entirely unfenced. Elephants, Indian bison and black squirrels, to name a few, are free to roam the land. Although this comes at a cost to they estate – elephants are regularly eating the bamboo roofs of the drying huts – the wildlife makes the land, and the land makes the coffee.
Ethical Sourcing
“Sustainable” and “ethical” are buzz words which are thrown around frequently, but these words often lack substance. Not with LGC. Ethically sourcing their beans was one of the top priorities for them in order to deracinate coffee farming’s oppressive roots. LGC deal with their estate directly and pay the the price they need to keep producing exceptional coffee beans and they are proud that their coffee can be sampled in cafes and homes across Europe.
Over the past couple of years LGC have built a strong relationship with the Mariwala family, and thus can guarantee customers experience consistent excellence in every cup of coffee.

What Makes The Coffee Delicious
The Nandanvan Estate is at 5000 feet in the hills south of Nilgiri, in the lee of the Western Ghats, where the cool temperatures and light monsoon help give the coffee sweetness and depth of flavour. The coffee cherries grow alongside cardamom, chilli and lemon trees, and those notes appear in LGC’s coffee.
Pioneers of Biodynamic farming in India, The Nandanvan Estate was born in 1994. The estate moved on to practicing organic farming in 2004 and remains 100% organic to this day. They are entirely self sustained as all the coffee is processed using harvested rainwater.
Find Your Perfect Blend
Albion demonstrates all the good qualities of shade-grown coffee: sweet, rounded flavour with just a hint of bitterness at the finish. A good all-day cup, delivering notes of cardamom, almond and a shot of dark chocolate; you will also taste pepper and vanilla.
Roasted a little darker, Tokenhouse takes the notes in Albion and adds more dark chocolate and some roasted hazelnut. It delivers all the cardamom and pepper but with a deeper body and longer finish. You can find the chilli from the estate, orange too, but there is no acidity.
The deeply-flavoured Espresso blend is a classic, lots of caramel and dark chocolate. LGC have added some robusta from the estate to give it the final punch and give it a long, delicious finish.
