This beautiful  Malawi Cane furniture is handmade using sustainable, natural resources endemic to the area. All the furniture is made by villagers in rural Malawi. It is a traditional African art which takes 10 days to complete one Traditional single chair – this is craftsmanship that has been handed down for generations. A wonderful choice for everything from pendants to laundry baskets!

Naked Clay Ceramics

Inspired by the natural colours and textures of the earth, Naked Clay Ceramics is a collection of quiet, tactile, minimal style tableware and homeware in black stoneware and white porcelain. Using a combination of handbuilding and slip casting, everything is made by hand by Carla Sealey in her studio in Bedfordshire. The pieces are fired with no glaze on the outside so that the feel of the natural, fired clay can be appreciated. Carla hopes that tactile connection brings an opportunity to pause, breathe and savour a small moment in the hustle and bustle of life. A wonderful black owned designer to support!

Founded in 2019 by Melissa Aglietti and Christie Cioffi, Vollective was created with a mission to curate a collection of timeless vintage homewares, jewelry, and accessories for the fashion conscious woman. Casa Parini

Casa Parini is an Italian specialty textile brand founded by Viola Stancati that produces premium bed linen using 100% organic hemp, one of the world’s most eco-friendly crops. Soft and breathable, Casa Parini’s sheets and pillowcases are cut by hand and tailored by the seamstresses of Colori Vivi, a social enterprise that employs women migrants and refugees in the city of Turin. Hemp requires little water, no pesticides and it helps detoxify and enrich the soil in which it is grown.

This is one of our favourite Australian brands, and the fact that they they have a small curation of ethical home accessories is just wonderful for minimalists and design enthusiasts. Their production company in Indonesia CV EDSA Trading is SVLK certified. SVLK is the Indonesian Forestry Commissions wood certification program. SLVK helps all vendors obtain certified materials and develop a chain of custody system to ensure woods are harvested from legally owned land. Their rugs and blankets are woven by artisans in Mexico. They are neutral raw woollen throws that are sustainably made, handwoven and undyed. They are also B Corp registered!
