6:30 AM -

My days start at 6:30 if I am lucky! I never thought 6:30 would be considered a late wake up time but my toddler sometimes wants to start the day at 5 am…after my husband takes our little one downstairs to start her routine, I get started on mine. I used to need at least 8 hours to function, but now that I am a mother – that just is not always possible so I have found other ways to support my body and mind to feel refreshed inside and out, and ready for the day.

Dry Brush + Cold Shower -

Waking up and getting energized starts with my self care routine. On mornings when I feel especially drained, I always dry brush and then have a cold shower to wake my body up and get my lymphatic system up and running. The lymph system can really become stagnant if the body is depleted!

Red Light Therapy -

Once I am all clean and dressed, it is time to use my Red Light Face Wand from Bon Charge. I’ve been loving this little tool because it is so easy to use and gives the effects of a spa treatment but at home in your own hands! The wand helps to promote a more even skin tone, lifts, calms, and even contours the skin with continued use.

My skin is very prone to redness and can become extremely dull – especially with less sleep. The wand helps to bring my skin back to life while calming my redness and boosting circulation too. You can use this wand anytime in the day and also before bed, but I love starting my skincare routine with the red light to kickstart that glow! It is unlike other wands out there and has bio-microelectronics, heat, and sonic vibrations to really massage and stimulate the skin.

Oils + Potions -

Once I’ve finished my red light treatment, I head into skincare next – a step I never miss. I’ve been loving the Wilder Daytime Face Oil because it contains lovely antioxidants, vitamins B C D & K with ingredients like green tea, prickly pear, arctic blackcurrant, and more. It sinks into the skin super quickly and leaves the skin plump and radiant. To lock in that oil, I finish off with the Ultra Intense Moisturizing Cream from Dr Joseph, which is full of hyaluronic acid and ingredients that deeply nourish and protect the skin.

Stretch + Yoga -

Before I have breakfast and sit down at my desk for the morning, I try to squeeze in a morning stretch and yoga session – usually with my toddler! I love the Yoga for Motherhood book by Naomi Annand and have been using it religiously since I got the book. My toddler adores it too! I find this gentle movement really increases my energy levels. Before I put my yoga mat away, I love to use the Yoga Mat Cleaner by Kinfill so my mat stays clean and smelling amazing!

Emails without Tired Eyes -

I now swear by blue blocking glasses every time I use any of my devices for extended periods of time! Bon Charge makes an array of amazing blue blocker and light sensitivity glasses – something everyone should have. While they are incredibly important before bed to ensure your screen light doesn’t affect your sleep, it is also key to use glasses when you’re working on your screens during the day. While at night, before bed, I reach for their Blue Blocker Glasses, during the day I pick their Light Sensitivity Glasses so that my eyes don’t get too strained when I’m doing emails, admin, and research. If you are prone to headaches like me, these are essential as our screens can really bring on a headache!
