Why are jeans so bad for the environment?
The manufacture of denim is typically not sustainable, with jeans requiring up to 1800 gallons of water to make one pair, not to mention the potentially toxic indigo dyes used which can pollute waters. Boyish Jeans are passionate about changing this. Their denim manufacturing process uses only one third of the amount of water that regular denim uses and they recycle all water used to ensure no fresh water is polluted in the process.

Boyish use recycled cotton as they have found it is the best material for its low energy and water usage, with no water being required.
Responsibility to people and the planet.
Boyish work with factories that have fair, safe, and healthy working conditions and ensure that suppliers meet their standards for social responsibility as well as safe, non-toxic, and better materials. They also recycle all of their cutting waste; some of which gets recycled back into new fabrics and others which gets recycled back into industrial use.
Boyish source many fabrics from dead stock to reuse as much as possible.
