Description

Tea is very important to Cath and Jeremy, founders of Feldspar. As such the tea mug had to be a very specific size: not too big and not too small. With a handle, of course, to enable it to be drunk steaming hot. The tea mug is handmade from fine bone china, with a transparent glaze that brings out the crisp white of the material and emphasises its dimpled profile. The handle is hand-painted in 22k gold. Handmade in Stoke-on-Trent. Height is 86mm, Capacity is 12oz, Gift boxed. Please note this item ships from the maker in the UK!

Feldspar's Local Production and Craftsmanship

Feldspar make their items out of fine bone china (the strongest type of ceramic) by a family run pottery factory in Stoke on Trent, supporting local British production and craftsmanship. They were anxious to preserve the skills required to keep bone china production going in England (and to show that it is perfectly possible to make things from start to finish in the UK). Their Devon pottery is half of their ceramics and everything they make is hand painted there.
