How best to care for cashmere.
Avoid washing your cashmere garment often – it is preferable to air it between wears.
After some wears and when washing is actually needed, use a small quantity of a delicate detergent on a gentle machine cycle at a low temperature and low spin, or, preferably, hand wash and rinse the garment with tepid water.
Squeeze out excess water by pressing the garment, and do never wring it or twist it. Afterwards, lie it flat to dry on a towel.
Do not hang your knitted cashmere, as it will stretch it out of shape. Instead, fold it into a drawer when completely dry or store it in a zipped bag if you do not plan on using it for several months.
