Often called “raw silk,” Silk Noil has a nubby feel and matte surface resembling cotton in its texture. Noil is a breathable and versatile fabric, great for all seasons and multi-destination travel. Silk Noil is yielded from the silk waste of the spun processes, causing unique fiber variation. Subtle variations in color and texture are inherent to the natural beauty of our Silk Noil fabric. Silk is a natural, durable, yet biodegradable material that has a very low environmental impact. Most of OZMA’s silk noil comes from farms practicing Regenerative Agriculture.

Alongside trusted partners OZMA have been working to integrate regeneratively-grown silk into their collections.
The regenerative farming process focuses on creating circular systems within farms and cultivating conditions where long-term soil health is prioritized. In doing so, these farms become living ecosystems, punctuated by deliberate cycles of growth and harvest that improve and give back to the land rather than depleting it.
Their silk farming partner is a Bluesign, LEED, and Think Green Initiative Certified Facility, operating from a fully solar-powered space that utilizes environmentally-certified weaving machines. Aiming to be completely carbon neutral by 2024, their work prioritizes mindful fertilizer and water usage through a recycling system that repurposes 90% of wastewater.
