When the founder, Gabrielle’s daughter, Sabine, was born, something fundamentally changed in her. Giving birth to Sabine touched the most courageous part of her soul, what felt like a deep well of fortitude that gave her courage to become the person, mother, and professional she wanted to be. Motherhood quelled fears she had about putting herself and her work into the world.

At the same time, she began making clothes for Sabine she couldn’t find on the market. The pieces she made for her were unique, crafted with love, skill, and a sense of elegance. Crafting clothes for her daughter just as she had done for her dolls as a little girl. A creative birthright, she realized, is to be shared. Tache De Naissance was born.

Handcrafted With Care

Gabrielle comes from a family of seamstresses. Making clothing is a tradition passed down through generations. Both of her grandmothers made garments for their children, and her aunt was a seamstress by trade. Gabrielle would spend hours in her workshop, rummaging through remnants, and studying her creations. She always left her home with a bag of materials, and a million ideas. It was there that Gabrielle’s passion for making clothes ignited.

Tache De Naissance today is a reflection of those generations of transferred knowledge and skill. Made with care, these pieces are designed to last and be passed down to generations to come.
