Oh Emma

How sustainable fashion's golden girl, Emma Watson, has propelled ethics into the spotlight

The topic of sustainability and fashion has never been more relevant. As Emma’s press tour draws to close, it’s clear that the fashion industry is wholeheartedly embracing ethical style. Gone are the stuffy connotations of drab tees and hemp materials. Sustainable fashion got chic.

The Press Tour Instagram flaunts enviable snaps of Emma’s carefully selected tour outfits. Paired with her natural beauty and an array of iconic backdrops, the photos alone are enough to entice anyone to hit like.   The biggest achievement however, is undoubtedly the conversations that have been sparked by the campaign. Below the detailed list of designers, each Instagram post has thousands of comments expressing admiration, excitement, and passion about sustainable fashion getting the spotlight.   Proving that REV is the destination for ethical fashion, Emma posed wearing a black ribbed Woron bodysuit and the classic SVILU white Oxford shirt during various stints of The Press Tour.

“I don’t think it should be niche that the companies we wear clothes from are caring about who works for them or are being conscientious about the environment.”

“I think so much more carefully about what I buy, and I buy less because I edit so carefully. I’m tending to shop online a lot more."

Mainline Basics Tee

Here At REV, we are delighted to have been a part of Emma’s tour. As firm supporters of the sustainable fashion cause, we were thrilled to see some of REV’s very own products featuring.

Spot Emma wearing our Mainline Basics tee, as well as the Fonnesbech jacket, Maiyet bag, and The Sway biker that feature in her wardrobe. One of our favourite brands, Grown Alchemist, has also been revealed as one of Emma’s go-to for botanical beauty.  It is fabulous to see the topic of ethics in fashion being discussed so enthusiastically, and fronted by a woman so vocal about her passion for the cause. Emma has a very clear, down-to-earth mantra that resonates perfectly with what we stand for here at REV. Buy less, think more.   Photo Credits: The Press Tour Instagram & The Coveteur
