KJINSEN

Tencel Midi Dress in Navy

£450

Description

Midi-length dress with a delicate hand-stitched zig-zag detail. The TENCEL™ fabric makes for a sustainable alternative to silk, maintaining a luxurious handle and fluid drape that flatters the silhouette. The minimal design and olive green hues look equally elegant and effortless. If you are in between sizes, the smaller size will achieve a feminine and sophisticated silhouette whilst the size up will bring an edgier more versatile look. Made from 100% TENCEL™.

Please note this item ships from the designer in the UK!

Aesthetics That Transcend Trends

KJINSEN is a British ready-to wear label offering women an aesthetic that transcends trends and celebrates strong silhouettes. It was born out of a desire to create highly wearable yet sophisticated outfits that remain impactful season after season. The KJINSEN wardrobe was designed with ease in mind, to flatter the female figure whether expertly styled or worn with minimal intent.

The name (pronounced “kinsen”) was inspired by the philosophy behind the Japanese art of Kintsugi. It is an ode to longevity and the effects that life has on the possessions we cherish. Through this hommage, KJINSEN champions a fashion industry where quality garments that stand the tests of time are celebrated over the promotion of newness.

RWS-Certified Wool

KJINSEN only use natural fibres, strictly no synthetics. Their visual aesthetic is deeply rooted in nature and they strive to limit their impact.

KJINSEN uses only virgin wool that has been RWS-Certified. The Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) addresses animal welfare in sheep farms and the chain of custody of wool from farm to final product.

The key pillars of the certification include: (1) holistic respect for animal welfare; (2) land management on farms, protection of soil health, and biodiversity; (3) social welfare and working conditions of employees; (4) audit of each stage in the supply chain. Only products with a 100% audited supply chain may carry the certification.

An Ethical Manifesto

We choose fabrics that are trans-seasonal. From naturally insulating merino wool to ultra-light cashmere, all our pieces are designed to be worn 9 – 12 months a year.

We produce a very small amount of each design. When sold out, limited quantities become available for pre-order. We never produce in excess of demand.

All our clothes are manufactured in London.  We are proud to champion British Fashion’s eclectic heritage. Producing locally enables us to prioritise quality and do so in a socially and environmentally responsible way.
