What makes this piece special?

Hand carved by Daniel, one of our talented wood carvers in southern Tanzania, each bowl takes a day to make. Daniel uses a free hand technique that allows him to have more control over the shape and achieve the beautifully tactile finish. Each piece has its own unique wood grain and showcases the raw natural beauty of African Blackwood.  work directly with our group of Makonde wood carvers who are renowned for their craftsmanship, a skill passed down for generations from father to son.
