Our Curated Packing List for Paris
We all know and love the classic French girl style, many of us already live by certain principles when it comes to styling and many of those principles can be seen originating from the Parisiennes themselves. These days we like to take inspiration from some of the most iconic French girls to grace modern media: Jeanne Damas, Audrey Tautou, Caroline De Maigret, to name a few. However what we here at REV want to bring you today is a sustainable alternative to all your favourite classic French pieces. This is our packing list for Paris with ethics!
Fashion
I think one really beautiful yet informal day dress is always a must have. Christy Dawn is my go to as she is such a wonderful designer using regenerative methodologies. The Fatima Dress is my organic white cotton staple.
One more formal – a black dress from Doen I always think is perfect. I also love a tank dress, and this Alice tank dress from the small sustainable line Vincent James is elegant yet relaxed and would work well around Paris!
A good bodysuit. OZMA’s Christy bodysuit is ideal here.
Some slouchy pants that fit you well. Shaina Mote’s beautiful and organic black trousers are my go-to for this.
Some perfect organic cotton tees – breathable, not too fitted. I am in love with Industry of all Nations and their cropped tee is perfect for styling with any bottom!
One pair of denim. I am loving that Citizens of Humanity is using regenerative farming for their new line and these organic boyfriend jeans are perfect to go with any look.
One perfect blouse. I cannot find a top I love more than the Henri top from DOEN.
Beauty
For the day to day traipsing through the city, I am in love with the Marie Veronique Protective Day Oil for taking you through the city with a natural barrier.
This mineral sunscreen from Forah is perfect for more protection on your shoulders and chest!
To get you through the streets of Paris, I also think the lavender deodorant from Primally Pure is one of the most effective ones I have used that is all natural.
Finally, I go for light on makeup when I travel – a little tinted lip and a bit of mascara is really it! But if you do want a red lip for a little drama at night, my favorite is Madame Gabriela’s Paris at 7pm lipstick which is so appropriate.
At the end of the day, I love finishing with the Marie Veronique Replenishing Cleanser to get you ready for the next day! Top with a lovely massage of their Rejuvenation Night Oil for a beautiful organic skincare.
Accessories
First of all, I think taking a hat to Paris is both chic and practical…when you are having travel hair or just need a little coverage, its a great option to have on hand. I love Janessa Leone as her hats are packable, sustainable and beautiful. My go-to’s for a trip to Paris are her Sacha hat or her Sherman hat in black for a more day to night look.
Next up, a bag that will take you from day to night. The Tanner bag does just that, as well as having straps to hold on to the aforementioned hat! I love that this is a piece that I can take almost anywhere – I really think it is the perfect size and shape and I have used it everyday for years when traveling!
Fisherman sandals from Vibae are what I nearly always have on my feet! Vibae is sustainable, long lasting, and I love the founders Tammy and Lido so I will always shop with them first. I love both the backless fisherman sandal and the buckle fisherman sandal – these pair with almost any outfit.
Finally, I am a big believer that a scarf in Paris is always a good idea. I love Janessa’s blanket scarf as you can take it from the plane to the streets to a night out with equal ease. Learning how to style a good scarf will always be quite a French thing to do, and this is the perfect piece to practice with.
