Description
Moonstones and Pearls have long been associated with the moon, the sea, the pull of tides, women, and fertility. Moonstone’s mysterious sheens and shades reflect light in the same subtle way as the moon, as does the perfect sphere of a Pearl. The Pearl pieces were made in Myanmar with Turquoise Mountain Foundation, working with carefully chosen Pearl farms from the Andaman Sea, and the Moonstone pieces were made with our partners in India using 90% recycled gold.

Pippa Small holds the firm conviction that the importance of safe and creative jobs, reinforcing a sense of cultural identity and tradition through jewellery, is hugely important. In so many parts of the world there are so few opportunities and a complex mix of the impacts of climate change and conflict that is forcing people from their homes. A job, and giving a sense of pride and accomplishment, provides vital alternatives.
Each piece is handmade by artisans through one of the many foundations and communities she works with across the world, this includes – the arts foundation, Turquoise Mountain in Afghanistan, Myanmar and Jordan. She also works with artisans in Bolivia and Panama.
