Colori Vivi - Social Enterprise
Casa Parini’s sheets and pillowcases are cut by hand and tailored by the seamstresses of Colori Vivi.
Colori Vivi is a social enterprise in Italy that originally started as Articolo 10 Onlus where they developed projects for housing and cultural integration for women migrants and refugees in Turin, Italy. In 2016 they created Colori Vivi, a company with social purposes, to concretely help the women they welcomed there. It is a workshop space in Turin that offers concrete and qualified professions that would allow women to become autonomous and able to choose their own future.
Casa Parini uses 100% organic hemp to make their products. Hemp is one of the world’s most eco-friendly crops as it requires little water, no pesticides and it helps detoxify and enrich the soil in which it is grown.
Hemp fabric is made from the long strands of fibre that make up the stalk of the cannabis plant. These fibres are separated from the bark through a process called “retting”, they are then spun together to produce a continuous thread that can be woven into a fabric.
