In many of Fawn and Freda’s hand smocked pieces, they use 100% European linen.
Linen is naturally one of the most sustainable fabrics for many reasons. Most significantly linen is naturally more sustainable as it grows well without needing copious amounts of water and pesticides. Linen is also incredibly durable and long lasting, getting softer as time goes by.
In terms of wearability, Linen is great for the summer as it’s temperature regulating so it will keep you cool. As well as in the winter it will keep you warm.
