Description

A set of four cobalt cake plates, the perfect size for a slice of cake or warm scone heaped with clotted cream, then jam (the Devon way). These plates and bowls are designed to sit together or alone – each with a shallow dimpled lip and sketch-like hand painted banding in cobalt blue to contrast with the bright white of the fine bone china, brought out by a high gloss transparent glaze. Handmade in England. Size is 16cm diameter. This item is made to order by hand for you down in Devon for delivery within three weeks.

Feldspar's Local Production and Craftsmanship

Feldspar make their items out of fine bone china (the strongest type of ceramic) by a family run pottery factory in Stoke on Trent, supporting local British production and craftsmanship. They were anxious to preserve the skills required to keep bone china production going in England (and to show that it is perfectly possible to make things from start to finish in the UK). Their Devon pottery is half of their ceramics and everything they make is hand painted there.
