Meet ergoPouch…

While I was pregnant with my second baby, Meadow, I had the pleasure of talking to the team at ergoPouch. The brand’s focus on natural materials, ethical sourcing, and smart design inspired me right away. Like ergoPouch, I think every baby is unique. Their sleep needs differ, and what they wear changes as they grow. As fellow parents know, what works one day (or night) may not work the next! ergoPouch has this very fact in mind, which is why their products are so versatile.

Founded in 2009 by a tired mom, Alina Sack, ergoPouch aims to help babies and kids sleep better. This way, the whole family can enjoy a good night’s rest. Today, ergoPouch stands as a leading brand in the market. Based in Australia, it has won multiple awards and gained an international audience. Their tagline resonates with most parents: “Sleep is a journey, not a destination.” The brand supports sleep with an array of different baby sleep sacks and suits, rompers/pajamas, and bedding. All ergoPouch sleepwear is made from GOTS Certified organic cotton and bamboo. These materials are nontoxic and gentle on the skin. Natural fibers are safer for our children and us than synthetics. They help kids’ skin breathe, regulate body temperature, and lower the risk of overheating.

“Not all babies sleep the same, but all babies need to sleep safely. We don’t promise easy fixes and magical solutions when it comes to baby’s sleep. We do promise your child will be safer, and more comfortable, in natural-fibre products that have been designed with them in mind. Designed to suit their sleep needs as they grow, develop and change. From our family to yours, we’re here to support your sleep journey from pregnancy to preschool.”

4 products we love from the brand –

Since our second daughter Meadow arrived, I’ve come to appreciate four ergoPouch products that have truly made a difference for us. Each product, including their baby sleep sack, has helped make parenting that little bit easier. Especially during sleepless nights with a newborn and those unpredictable nap times! With a toddler to care for and a new baby in our arms, anything that helps us feel more organized and supported quickly becomes essential in our home. Here’s how ergoPouch has woven itself into our daily routine…

1. The Cocoon Swaddle Baby Sleep Sack –

Available in many different TOG options, the Cocoon Swaddle Bag is the brand’s hero product for a reason. It is a 2-way zip up swaddle sleep sack, which enables easy diaper changes. Unlike a lot of sleep sacks that require a more technical hands on wrapping or the conventional velcro, which can be a bit noisy. The options for TOG allow you to have different choices depending on temperature and season. It is also bell-shaped to support a healthy hip development.

2. Drift Away White Noise Machine –

I always think having a white noise machine on hand is essential, especially for when it feels like your baby just won’t sleep! It lasts 48 hours on a single charge and is light and compact so it can easily travel with you on the go. I love that it has a built-in soft LED light that makes overnight diaper changes and night time feeds a bit easier – especially in the early newborn stage. I love that you can snap it on to different places – strollers, bassinets, hand bags, and more.

3. The Butterfly Cardi –

Many newborns feel comfort when they sleep with their hands up by their face. So, ergoPouch designed the Butterfly Cardi. It allows for various sleeping styles. The super stretchy material keeps the baby comfy and allows for full chest expansion when breathing. Wearing the Cardi won’t change their natural sleeping position. This is key for healthy hip joint development. ergoPouch focuses on longevity and functionality. The Butterfly Cardi lets babies keep their arms out. This is great for when they start rolling on their own.

4. The Long Sleeve Romper –

The perfect zip-up pajama to wear alone or under a swaddle/suit. The zip makes overnight diaper changes much more seamless! The romper includes a unique 3-way zip system by ergoPouch. This design holds the diaper in place to stop overnight leaks. It also keeps the romper from twisting. A true essential for the first year (at least) of babyhood as it truly makes life so much easier!
