An Earth Day Ritual with Paula Ayet of ROWSE Yoga
Co-founded by Paula Ayet in collaboration with the beloved ROWSE Beauty, ROWSE Yoga is “a space for yoga and creation involving spirituality, the body, aesthetics, and plants.” ROWSE Yoga regularly host online and in-person yoga sessions in Barcelona. Today we are bringing you a yoga sequence by Paula that will help you reconnect with yourself and find balance in this time of change and opportunity that is the spring equinox. We recommend you allow some space and take this time to recenter and find mental clarity for the months ahead.
Let’s have a moment here, in this spring equinox, to raise the awareness of the need to protect Earth’s natural resources for future generations. If you do care, it may be the moment to gather together to clean up litter, plant trees, reduce and reuse in your daily life, modify your diet habits, or simply reflect on the beauty of nature more often.
Ether, air, fire, water, earth, planets, all creatures, directions, trees and plants, rivers and seas, they are all organs of God’s body. Remembering this, a devotee respects all species.
It is the unfailing fall of rain that sustains the world. Therefore, look upon rain as the nectar of life.
I am the son of Earth – the goddess Devi – Earth is our Mother and deserves our devotion and protection. Non-violence – ahimsa – is the greatest dharma. Hurting or harming another being damages one’s karma and obstructs advancement toward moksha – liberation. Ahimsa to the earth improves one’s karma.
Repeat for your own I am the son of Earth – the goddess Devi – Earth is our Mother and deserves our devotion and protection.
Before finishing the practice add some drops of Rowse hemp oil to your fingers and rub your hands to create some warmth. Place your hands in front of your face to feel the energy. Press the nasal bridge. Place your thumbs under the evebrows and softly press. With both hands massage your temples, jaw, neck, and shoulders.
