Eco-Friendly Baby Gifts For Christmas
My whole world has become baby, baby, baby as I’m expecting my first child in March 2022. While I am not a mum quite yet, I have talked with enough parents and friends to have gathered some of the best holiday gift ideas to get babies – well more like parents. One can easily over consume when it comes to baby gear and toys, which is why I curated a small selection of ideas that parents and babies genuinely need!
Baby Mori
My mom’s number one tip is to skip buttons as much as possible and go for sleepsuits with zips. Baby Mori makes some of the best ethical and organic baby clothing – lots of which are made with zips making changes super easy. Mori’s Christmas Zip Sleep-suit Packs are foolproof gifts that every single parent and baby will love.
Eco Friendly Toys
Sadly, lots of conventional toys are mass-produced with lots of plastic and waste. I highly recommend Smallable’s curated selection of eco-friendly toys, where you can shop specific toys for different ages. I’m a huge fan of Raduga Grez’s wooden toys because they are beautiful, and they help your little one work on their coordination – a win win!
Babybulles Toiletry Set
Treat the new parents in your life to some wonderful natural toiletries for their bundle of joy. The Babybulles essential set is such a great gift because the products are specifically formulated for baby and have been developed using an eco-friendly approach. Meaning all three products are free of any unnecessary chemicals for a gentle cleanse.
Swaddles
Every parent has told me that you can never have enough cloths or swaddles, as babies are constantly spitting up or needing to be wrapped to sleep – so you know this gift will be appreciated and used! The Liewood swaddles are already my favourite choice because they are made form 100% organic cotton, incredibly soft, and easy to use. My other favourite swaddle is the Softspot soft swaddles because of how unbelievably cozy and soft they are. Plus, their colors and patterns are just beautiful!
Somewhere Safe to Play
Playing on the floor is essential for baby’s development – it is where they master ‘tummy time’ and learn to roll over. It is however, essential that baby has somewhere safe and nontoxic to play. I think every parent needs something like the Nobodinoz Organic Cotton play mat, because not only is it lovely to look at but it is an ultra-comfortable mat for baby to play on. It is made from 100% organic cotton grown without any pesticides and it is nice and thick, so baby has cushioning. Another amazing option is the Fabelad Organic Cotton play mats, which come with different patterns and textures for baby to interact with. The brand offers different themed options, from sea creatures to flowers and bugs.
Little Beacon
Little Beacon‘s made to order baby quilts and blankets are the perfect gift that are made to last long after childhood. Each piece is designed to flow naturally from room to room, and celebrates gender-neutral palettes and the beautiful natural fibers of linen, cotton and bamboo. Each piece is designed to work for both baby and the entire house.
Little Riley
This gender neutral clothing line is designed to support our #changemakers of the future. Little Riley studio make super soft comfy basics for ages 12 months to 5 years. You can’t go wrong with anything from this line and each piece can suit any gender, making them great for families with different ages – less buying and less waste!
Bella Crocker
Nothing says Christmas like personalized gifts, and I am just obsessed with Bella Crocker’s unique and handmade personalized sweaters. They do clothing up to five years old, and each piece they make is incredibly special and truly one of a kind. Such a wonderful gift!
