Organic Beauty For Spring – Natural Looks For Warmer Days
Every year Spring represents rebirth, warmer temperatures, and more light in our lives. This year, Spring represents finally being able to venture out, see loved ones, and finally eat at a restaurant (outside that is)! Makeup has been one thing I’ve continued to do nearly every day through lockdown as personally it instantly boosts my mood. Even on my no-makeup days, I swear by a touch of lipstick as it instantly brightens my complexion.

Good makeup always starts with good skincare!
For your make up to sit well on your face, it’s so important to make sure your base is super hydrated a plump! A good hydrating serum underneath a nourishing moisturiser can make the world of difference when it comes to applying your make up. Irene Fortes Triple Hyaluronic Serum is perfect for adding extra hydration to both the surface for and also to the deeper layers of the skin, providing both immediate and long-lasting effects. Hydrating the skin makes it look a lot more plump, helping to minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles which make up has a tendency to settle in.
The Rose Cream by FaTH Skincare is skin-softening and firming day cream formulated with a signature botanical blend. This fast-absorbing, easy-wearing botanical moisturiser is formulated to firm and plump skin by fortifying the skin barrier and helping skin retain moisture. A good moisturiser can help to smooth out the skins surface, making it easier to apply to make up evenly, preventing patchiness or streaks.
Team. Dr Joseph have all our skincare covered and have a range of effective, natural skincare. Their SPF’s are a must during summer in order to protect your skin from premature aging, sunburn and pigmentation! Dr Josephs High Protection Sun Cream SPF30 is a light, fast absorbing sunscreen with broad-spectrum protection SPF30, hyaluronic acid, and sea buckthorn. The Hyaluronic Blossom Facial Mist is perfect for when your face needs a quick boost of hydration throughout the day. It can be used under, or on top of make up!
A pop of colour on the cheeks!
Year-round I love a light base because I prefer my skin to look like I’m hardly wearing anything. Especially as it starts to heat up in Spring, it is always nicer to be wearing something sheerer! Living Libations are my go-to when it comes to a light foundation. The product really evens out your skin tone without looking heavy. Plus, they are full of amazing natural and organic skincare ingredients, which work on your skin. It’s also buildable – meaning you can use it as a concealer as well on any blemishes or redness you’d like to cover.
Oio Labs Melting Blush Eye & Cheek Colour Balm is a wonderful multi-purpose tinted balm that melts effortlessly into the skin and adds a flush of universal, skin-flattering colour. This creamy-textured, nourishing balm is enriched with natural, stable vitamin C derivative, and advanced smoothing and moisture-boosting active botanicals designed to help to instantly beautify the skin and leave it fresh-looking, unified and luminous.
Bright eyes!
For Spring, I love a statement lip which is why I like to keep the eyes simple and bright. A sweep of Kjaer Weis’s Cloud Nine, light pink eye shadow instantly brightens the eyes. I like to add a little definition with KW eye shadow in Gorgeous, which is a beautiful taupe shade with a hint of shimmer – I apply it just in my crease and close to my lash line. These two shades mixed together are such a beautiful combination! Sometimes I skip mascara all together for a super-natural look and just use a little eye lash curler!
Organic lipsticks that nourish and hydrate.
Nothing says Spring like the shade Sunshine by Juni Cosmetics, which is the perfect pinky coral colour. The whole Juni lipstick range is so wonderful because they are full of amazing ingredients that hydrate and soothe your lips while you wear a bit of colour. Unlike so many conventional lipsticks, which can dry out the lips!
Madame Gabriela also have a beautiful range of organic lipsticks, perfect for a bright pop of colour. They’re made using natural ingredients such as healing antibacterial UMF 15+ Mānuka honey, shea butter, avocado, sunflower and rosemary oils as well as chamomile so your lips feel super moisturised and hydrated.
Even though these lipsticks are hydrating, I always like to pop on a bit of lip balm first. Both Madame Gabrielas St. Tropez lip treatment and the Rejuvenating Lip Treatment by Juni Cosmetics are extremely soothing and actually ideal by themselves if bright lips aren’t your thing!
