Where to buy plants and seeds in lockdown

Creating green space or planting up your garden or indoor plant pot(s) is something we feel is really important at this time of great uncertainty not only for the beauty of your flowers and prospective tomatoes or bunches of basil but for your health, gardening brings immense wellbeing. We have found great solace in returning to nature through our gardening activities, and although we are keeping ourselves in-doors, really greening up corners or spaces is something we feel is really strongly about as a way to communicate the change we are wanting to see in how we care for the planet.

We have pulled together a selection of nurseries and growers and gardens running a delivery service via their websites. This is simply just a highlight of what’s available, however, we urge you to support your local small independent ones and see what they are offering in terms of local service. Supporting your community is an act we really support during these times.

As Easter has marked the coming of the full Spring season this weekend, and with  continuing warmer temperatures and longer days, it means spring has really arrived, so take this golden moment to jump and get growing. And buying seeds, plants, compost for the garden should not be overwhelming. However, our country’s current situation has changed all this and closed for the foreseeable future all the nurseries and garden centres.
